I just found this ministry through a blog I follow (She Breathes Deeply) and am already in love with it! This woman, Katie, truly lives out the gospel towards these people. She just keeps doing what God asks and fights against the things others and Satan bring against her. They sell jewelry online and you can also sponsor kids in the local villages to go to school, go to church and get fed. I can only dream about visiting someday!! Check out their website and consider sponsoring a child or buying some Christmas gifts!

Breanna's House of Joy - Thailand
Breanna's House of Joy is the "orphanage" that my team & I will be heading to and helping out one day while we are in Thailand! How exciting!! I'm not sure how I'll ever go back to my daily routine after seeing the difficult circumstances so many young girls come from. Take a look at all the beautiful girls that are currently there... sponsor one (or two) if you can!!

Long time!
Sorry, I've severely neglected this blog. Ah well, here's to maintaining it a bit :)
This story is amazing - a young child, abandoned, found 13 years later! It's amazing to think of all the ways people die from silly things, yet this child was left unattended in the fields for 13 years and found alive! He has a long way to recovery, but I wonder what God has for him... must be something special to have kept him through so much.

We'd love to do something with SIM someday. They do SO much throughout the world! Check them out at www.sim.org!

Time Goes Fast.
Time goes by way too fast for me these days. Just yesterday, I was talking to Mark about how I hated going to bed at night. I used to LOVE falling asleep, ending the day - but anymore, I just wish there was more time in each day to accomplish even more. No matter how much I do (which yesterday, was a lot and I was very productive) I still desire to do more. I feel like it will take balance to endure fatigue to finish my daily tasks while also resting in knowing that as long as I've done all the Lord has put in front of me that day, it's good! I want to help everyone, fix problems, find solutions, be effective - but at some point, I need to turn it over to God and trust that He will meet the needs of His loved ones.
That's why I'm here on this blog again. We are not an official "business" this year, but I feel like God wants to use me somehow! With all our medical bills and various debts, we don't have the means necessary to leave the country to serve widows and children, we don't have the capital to visit our Compassion child in Bolivia, but I cannot go on seeing and hearing of children and families who are torn and devastated by completely preventable things - sickness, poverty, etc. So, my plan for now is to simply make this a place where I can help make you aware of organizations doing great things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I don't know how often I will list things, but I hope to give you a place to come each month and find people who need money, prayer and supplies to bring Jesus to those with no hope.
Today, the non-profit I read up on is called Robin's Nest Childrens Homes. They seem amazing! The definitely seek to provide physically for children who have been orphaned in small, poor villages, but they recognize that most importantly, these children need to know the love of Christ! They have 3 homes currently and are working on building a new area with 6 homes, medical center and education center, plus they are planning on becoming more self-sustaining with raising animals and growing some of their own food. This is in Kenya, but I'm not completely sure if this is replacing their existing home in Kenya, or creating a new one.
I have such a heart for hurting children and wish I could adopt every lonely child, but, that's not at all realistic, so I hope that you will find a way to give to this organization, who is working to provide homes, an education and health-care for as many orphans as they can!
Here they are! God bless you as you seek to assist others who God loves and are far less fortunate than us!
